Tracey Taylor Studio

Original Contemporary Paintings for Thoughtfully Designed Spaces
Original contemporary paintings and site-specific commissions for collectors, interior designers, architects and commercial projects.
Every space tells a story. The artwork we choose becomes part of that story.
Tracey Taylor creates contemporary paintings that bring presence, atmosphere and narrative to residential, commercial and public environments. Whether developed as independent collections or commissioned for a specific project, every collection begins with a question. The paintings become a way of exploring it.
The result is original artwork intended to be lived with, returned to and discovered anew over time.
Collections
Every collection begins with a question that has captured my curiosity. Painting becomes my way of exploring it. Together, these collections reflect an evolving studio practice shaped by ideas rather than a single visual style.

Whimsical Australia
I've never been interested in painting the Australian landscape exactly as it is. What fascinates me is the feeling of being there.
Â
These paintings grew from moments spent watching the bush quietly reveal itself; light changing across gum trunks, birds appearing unexpectedly and familiar places becoming just a little imagined. Rather than documenting the landscape, I wanted to paint the joy, rhythm and personality that make Australia feel uniquely like home.
Beautiful Possibilities

Beautiful Possibilities grew from my fascination with the way we become ourselves.
Â
Each painting begins with a question about identity, belonging, resilience or hope. I don't set out to answer those questions. Instead, I use painting as a way of exploring them, leaving space for viewers to bring their own experiences to the work.
Contemporary Figures

I've always been fascinated by people.
Â
Why do some naturally lead while others quietly follow? Why can we feel isolated in a crowded room, or completely ourselves with just one other person? These paintings became another way of exploring the endlessly complex ways we relate to one another.
Dark Academia

Some ideas refuse to leave us alone.
Â
This collection grew from my curiosity about mythology, belief, symbolism and the stories we create to make sense of the world. These quieter works aren't intended to explain. They're an invitation to slow down, spend time looking and discover your own reading of the work.
